In Collaboration with DelUXe Digital Design
DelUXe Digital Design was a web development agency I started with my friends Drew and Kumanan, who I'd worked with through COMPSCI 235 at university. We didn't start it with anything grand in mind — we wanted something we could use to build experience while studying. Tawhiti Forestry, a New Zealand-based timber export-import merchant, contracted us to build a landing page alongside a brand design. To visually convey the company's core export-import enterprise, we set up two korus converging and diverging in the homepage's scrolling animation. This motif was inspired by Gordon Walters' abstracted koru designs, reflecting the company's origins, and recurs throughout the site.
