AUEC X DEVS TFT Poster

For Auckland University Esports Club / DEVS

The first iteration of this poster was created months ahead of the event while I was working in Sydney. I was engrossed in TFT at the time and had just blown $400 of my first paycheck on KDA Ahri Unbound. I also had lexycat's "glitter ✩‧₊˚" coming up quite often on my playlist back then, so I leaned very heavily on both those influences when working on this project. While I thought the poster was pretty dope, it became clear upon review that the choice of splash art would probably give people the wrong idea about the kind of people we were at the esports club. Taking a step back, I decided to feature Morgana over Ahri in light of the upcoming set. A few things I personally like about this new version: Using a blown-up copy of the foreground as the background worked out very well this time around. It's something I started doing after creating my current LinkedIn profile picture, and it's surprised me with how well it works every time since. Another thing would be repurposing the rectangular backing frame as a Claude CLI — I played around with the rectangle back in the first iteration to give the poster more structure, but this really tied the design together.
